World Tooltips Mod 1.12.2/1.10.2 is a very nice mod that will let you view the tooltips of the stacks on the ground. It will also add Not Enough Items information if that mod is installed. It will provide you with Waila information if that is installed as well.
Essentials:
Stack sizes are easily viewable.
Any item, any mod, will display anything that NEI would display.
