Sophisticated Backpacks Mod

Sophisticated Backpacks Mod is yet another backpack mod this time with backpack you can place in world, color in different color combinations, upgrade with more inventory and enhance with many functional upgrades.

Features:

Item backpack

The backpack can be used in hand or placed into chest plate or Curios backpack slot. When in curios or chestplate slots it shows on the player.

Block backpack

Shift right clicking the backpack on the ground places it, you can access it’s inventory in that form as well as automate input/output.

Backpack tiers

There are 4 tiers of backpacks each with different capacity and number of upgrade slots.

Colors

You can color the backpacks using dyes. You can use one with the backpack and get the whole of it colored with that color, or you can combine two dyes with backpack to get different color combinations

Upgrades

And you can use different upgrades to enhance backpack functionality

Pickup upgrade picks up items that match the filter directly into the backpack

Magnet upgrade is a variant of pickup that teleports items around the player into the backpack

Filter upgrade can be used to filter items that are input into or output from backpack using automation

Void upgrade does exactly what you would expect – voids items that are picked up based on its filter

Compacting upgrade compacts items using 2×2 or 3×3 (advanced variant of upgrade) recipes. Will only compact items that can then be uncrafted back so it won’t craft quartz or glowstone dust into blocks if the modpack doesn’t have uncrafting recipes for these.

Feeding upgrade feeds player with food from backpack when the player gets hungry.

Deposit upgrade makes it so that shift right clicking an inventory deposits items specified in its filter into that inventory.

Restock upgrade takes items defined in its filter from inventory when it’s shift right clicked.

Refill upgrade keeps a stack of items defined in its filter in player’s inventory.

Many of the upgrades have their settings so as you may expect there’s a gui where you can set these with JEI support as it expands to the side

Minecraft Forge

How to install:

1. Make sure you have already installed Minecraft Forge.
2. Locate the minecraft application folder.
   • On windows open Run from the start menu, type %appdata% and click Run.
   • On mac open finder, hold down ALT and click Go then Library in the top menu bar. Open the folder Application Support and look for Minecraft.
3. Place the mod you have just downloaded (.jar file) into the Mods folder.
4. When you launch Minecraft and click the mods button you should now see the mod is installed.
