Oysters Mod

Oysters Mod is a Resource Generation mod that is based on oysters. Oysters can be placed on sand or set into a oyster basket and will generate pearls. You can then add resources to the basket to attempt to breed an oyster to produce that type of pearl. Once you are generating resource pearls, you can craft them into that resource.

Finding Oysters

Regular Oysters spawn naturally in ocean biomes with sand floors.  They can also be crafted with 9 nautilus shells.  Resource oysters do not spawn naturally and must be breed in a oyster basket

Oyster Breeding

Inside an Oyster Basket, place oysters(must be more than one for mechanics to work) and a valid resource (currently bone meal, coal, iron, gold, diamond, lapis, emerald).  About every minute or so it will attempt to breed the oysters into that resource type and consumes one of the resources in the process.  This has about a 5% success rate.  Once you have two resource oysters of the same type, you can stack them together in a basket and it will start producing pearls

Oyster Pearls

Oysters will passively generate pearls in their inventory.  resource oysters produce pearls that can be crafted into that resource.

Minecraft Forge

How to install:

1. Make sure you have already installed Minecraft Forge.
2. Locate the minecraft application folder.
   • On windows open Run from the start menu, type %appdata% and click Run.
   • On mac open finder, hold down ALT and click Go then Library in the top menu bar. Open the folder Application Support and look for Minecraft.
3. Place the mod you have just downloaded (.jar file) into the Mods folder.
4. When you launch Minecraft and click the mods button you should now see the mod is installed.
