The mod basically adds obsidian tools and armour to the game.

To make these tools and armour, you need some obsidian ingots.
To get obsidian ingots, you need three obsidian chips in a vertical line
To get obsidian chips, you need to smelt obsidian mesh
To get obsidian mesh, you need to craft four obsidian in a 2×2 square.

The ingots are used where you would normally put the materials for tools and armour, i.e. diamond.
You can make every tool and piece of armour with the ingots.
