Items & Blocks
Geolosys Mod 1.12.2 is a mod/modpack-friendly version of TerraFirmaCraft ore generation. In essence, it is a simple mod that adds geological systems to Minecraft’s world generation.
It comes with an extensive config file (and GUI), and allows you to modify WorldGen greatly! With Geolosys, realistic mineral versions of common ores are added, for example: Geolosys doesn’t spawn “Copper Ore” clusters – it instead spawns Malachite and Azurite plutons (large deposits).
All of the ore blocks in Geolosys are not meant to be obtained. You cannot silk touch them – and if you did get one they’re relatively useless. The items they drop – though – are very useful to you. When mining these mineral deposits, they’ll drop some “ore cluster” – going back to the Copper ore example, Malachite and Azurite drop “Copper Ore” Clusters. These are the key to the mod – they’re oreDicted with the popular variants (i.e. “oreCopper”) so they work perfectly in machines like Thermal Expansions’, Actually Additions’, Immersive Engineerings’ and others’ machines.
Ores included are:
- Hematite – Source of Iron
- Limonite – Primarily a source of Iron, but also a good source of Nickel
- Malachite & Azurite – Source of Copper
- Cassiterite & Teallite – Source of Tin
- Galena – Source of Silver and Lead
- Bauxite – Source of Aluminum
- Platinum – self explanitory
- Autunite – Source of Uranium
The block hardness of these ores is relatively high, to encourage setting up mining outposts to come back for more later (akin to TFC).
The tool level required varies from ore to ore, so be careful and observant.
