Better Advancements Mod

Better Achievements is an improvement of the Achievement screen. Better Advancements Mod tries to improve the UI and UX for the advancements system in minecraft 1.12+ in a modded environment.

This mod’s scope is cosmetic and Quality of Life. This is a successor to Better Achievements for the new advancements system in minecraft 1.12+.

Features:

• Screen filling UI (instead of the tiny one used by ants)
• Change the color of the advancement icons (instead of the default gray, blue and orange)
• Adds setting to stop fading of the advancements background on hover
• Description boxes can grow slightly larger, so they are easier to read
• Adds title of tab to title of advancements UI

You can either scroll with the mouse on the tabs or use the arrow keys to change pages

Tab icons can be set from the config or ingame(default disabled)

Using the middle mouse button you can set an achievement as icon of the tab

NBT data can be used in the config to set the icons of more complex items

These can be set in the config or by a mod using the API

Can be set via the modding API using the colour class or an own implementation

Can be set in the config by using rainbow (and some arguments for more advance control) where you set the arrow colours

How to install:

1. Make sure you have already installed Minecraft Forge.
2. Locate the minecraft application folder.
   • On windows open Run from the start menu, type %appdata% and click Run.
   • On mac open finder, hold down ALT and click Go then Library in the top menu bar. Open the folder Application Support and look for Minecraft.
3. Place the mod you have just downloaded (.jar file) into the Mods folder.
4. When you launch Minecraft and click the mods button you should now see the mod is installed.
